Vitamin A has multiple health benefits. It preserves the health of retina tissues and favors the synthesis of pigments for color vision. It has antioxidant properties. Combats oxidative stress caused by a high proportion of free radicals, which can arise, among other things, from external environmental influences and exhaust gases or UV radiation. Its antioxidant function improves in the presence of vitamin E and other antioxidants. It is a necessary vitamin for the protection of the skin, bones and teeth. Vitamin A participates in bone differentiation, growth and metabolism; contributes to the regeneration and health of the skin and mucous membranes; and helps the normal development of teeth, soft and skeletal tissue.
